LJ7 Rabbitry’s policies were created to make sure you and your new rabbit(s) have a great experience. Please read all policies, in full, below before purchasing a rabbit.
We do not sell any rabbits younger than 8 weeks of age.
Any individual under 18 years of age purchasing a rabbit should have a parent or guardian with them at time of payment and pickup.
Tattoos
All rabbits sold will include a numbered tattoo on their left ear for identification. With this number, we are able to access the records for your rabbit in the future for you as well. In addition, they will be ready to be entered into shows, if desired, with the numbered tattoos. All numbered tattoos are done quickly with the rabbit’s ear numbed.
Meat & Show Stock
Meat stock are defined as rabbits we deem close enough to the Champagne d’Argent ARBA Standard of Perfection to be good “brood” animals. They may not be a show rabbit themselves, but they have the potential to develop that in a line. They will also make the perfect addition to a homestead, small farm, or other rabbitry to produce rabbits for meat.
Show stock are defined as rabbits that are much closer to the perfection mentioned in the Champagne d’Argent ARBA Standard of Perfection. They will be able to be used at ARBA or 4H shows right away. We cannot guarantee what their show career will be, as that’s determinate on more than just the genetics of a rabbit, but it will give a solid foundation to build upon for show. Pedigrees are included with show stock rabbits.
Refunds & Returns
All sales on rabbits are final. No refunds available.
We encourage anyone purchasing rabbits to inspect them before leaving with them. Please see our FAQ on our front page if you’re unsure what to check for when purchasing rabbits. Once the rabbit leaves our care we are not responsible for what happens to it.
Our rabbits are raised in a clean, disease-free environment and are free of any form of obvious birth defects. Due to the nature of any animal, show-results, longevity, and breeding/parenting ability of a rabbit is not something we are able to guarantee.
Feed
Our rabbitry feeds Kent/Blue Seal Home Fresh Show Hutch Deluxe 17 pellets. If you would like to feed the rabbit a different brand of pellet going forward, we will provide a small amount (approximately a quart) of pellet with your rabbit to transition them to whichever brand of pellet you prefer.
Picking Up Your Rabbits
We do not offer shipping at this time. All rabbits must be picked up locally. We will coordinate with you on when and where the pickup can take place when you contact us to request a rabbit.
Please bring an appropriate container to transport your rabbit home. If you arrive without a container we may need to reschedule your pickup.
Payment
All rabbits must be paid for in full before they leave our care.
We accept cash, Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App.
